This was released twice - the first time was a single release that was hand made, limited to 200 copies, and came with red envelopes in homage to 'Deal or No Deal' and the second track 'Bonus' that contained prizes for every purchase. That was May 2010. Then in June 2011 the track appeared on their debut album 'Where Else Is Safe But The Road'. That was released as a pop-up cd, limited to 200, and as 1000 travel card holders with a download code.
Cuba Cuba were managed by the same person as Tiger Please and they became a natural fit for the label. The band reached their peak with an incredible appearance at Reading Festival in 2011. A day I'll never forget.
lyrics
In between terms,
I wade through forest with the feeling it'll never end.
I wait for my turn; the violent crowds drive minds to the lighthouse,
But the lighthouse keeper isn't there...
He said in the light that sets along the sail
I light a flare as I'm all alone.
In the light that sets along the sail,
In this beautiful unknown.
Where the cold river meets the suns glare
Like frozen kisses in the spring air,
The Pacific is as blue as I dream.
In time you will forget and I will find you.
In between terms,
I wade through forest just to make it to the other side,
To chase the turning tide.
I take to the hills; the dew falls thick like a tear from the treetops.
He said in the light that sets along the sail,
I light a flare as I'm all alone.
In the light that sets along the sail,
In this beautiful unknown.
Where the cold river meets the suns glare
Like frozen kisses in the spring air,
The Pacific is as blue as I dream.
In time you will forget and I will find you.
Heaven is kindling for sin,
Home is the fire that keeps us in.
