WTR004 - Released in March 2009 on their 'Wishes & Wishes' EP - the first label release to pick up mainstream media coverage.
The band were fortunately found after I typed in 'bands that sound like Manchester Orchestra' on the Orange Unsigned Act website. I travelled up to see them play in Hereford, spent the day sat around playing Football Manager, and then watched in horror as frontman Thom wrecked his knee on stage during the soundcheck. He battled through as he was so keen to play the set. The release picked up favourable reviews in mainstream magazines and this was the first release to really sell well in mainland Europe, and Germany in particular.
